Privacy notice

Under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). Last updated: 3 November 2026.

In short

• This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no social media buttons.
• There are no forms to fill in.
• The only data processed are the technical data needed to show you the pages, and whatever you send me if you write to me.

1. Data controller

2. Browsing data

The site is hosted on the Cloudflare Pages service of Cloudflare, Inc. When you open a page, Cloudflare's servers receive, as with any website, some technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, and the type of browser and operating system.

Purpose: to show the pages and to protect the site from abuse and cyber attacks.
Legal basis: the controller's legitimate interest in making the site available securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who processes them: Cloudflare, Inc., as processor (Art. 28 GDPR), under the Data Processing Addendum that forms part of its terms of service. I do not use these data to identify visitors, and I do not enable any additional logging or analytics services.
Retention: Cloudflare keeps these data only for as long as necessary to provide the service and keep the network secure, according to its own policies, which do not set a fixed period.
Transfers outside the EU: Cloudflare may also process data in the United States. The transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which Cloudflare participates.

3. Email

If you write to me (to report something, ask a question, or as a shop or guesthouse), I process your email address, your name and the content of your message.

Purpose: to reply to you and, for shops and guesthouses, to handle your enquiry.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), for business enquiries; legitimate interest in replying to messages received (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in other cases.
Retention: 12 months from the last exchange of messages; tax documents for the period required by law.
Mailbox provider: my mailbox is provided by Italiaonline S.p.A. (Libero Mail service), which processes the data needed to run the email service according to its own privacy notice.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not set cookies and does not use any other technology that stores or reads information on your device. It does not load content from other websites: no maps, videos, external fonts or analytics tools. That is why there is no cookie banner.

5. Links to other websites

The site contains links to Amazon (to buy the guides), to Instagram and to the official websites of the towns. When you click them you leave this site, and the privacy rules of the site you visit apply. Links to Amazon contain no affiliate codes.

6. QR codes in the guides

The QR codes printed in the guides open an ordinary page of this site. They contain no codes that would reveal who scanned them.

7. Your rights

You can ask at any time for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR), by writing to lebettins@libero.it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), under Art. 77 GDPR.

8. Other information

I do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making. Providing browsing data is technically necessary to visit the site; writing to me is optional.
